J. David Snell, Esquire
A true native of Florida’s Emerald Coast, Destin family lawyer and Destin criminal attorney, David Snell, was born in Fort Walton Beach and Raised in Destin, FL. David graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School in 1990 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Auburn University in 1995. While at Auburn, David was a pitcher on the varsity baseball team. In 2001, David received his law degree from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law.
Since Graduation, Mr. Snell has focused his practice on family law and criminal law cases. David has extensive experience in divorce and child custody matters. In addition, as a former Assistant Public Defender, Mr Snell handled literally hundreds of criminal cases involving juvenile crimes, misdemeanor legal issues, and felony charges.
Mr. Snell is licensed to practice law in all Florida State Courts and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. Mr. Snell is also member of the Florida Bar Association and the Okaloosa-Walton Bar Association.
Mr. Snell joined the firm of Chesser & Barr, P.A. Shalimar, FL, in February 2010 where he focused on family law and criminal defense work. In 2012, David started his own firm to serve the people of Okaloosa, Walton, Santa Rosa, and Escambia counties dealing with these same legal issues.
In addition to his law career, David is married to Jodie Snell and they have three children. He is an avid Auburn Tiger football fan and enjoys taking his family to games at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama every season.
